Role

• Recognized authority on SOA relevant subject matter knowledge including
technologies, theories, or techniques.

• Provides highly innovative SOA-based solutions and answers to customer
problems.

• Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria
for achieving objectives.

Business Acumen:
• Identifies and relates risks and challenges the customer should expect to
encounter with the solution/ projects
• Develop Architecture Specifications deliverables that map customer business
requirements into complete information systems (technologies, processes and
people)
• Ability to apply knowledge of how the industry uses IT to address business
challenges using, technical standards, infrastructure, cross industry trends that
impact IT investment and roadmaps
• Ability to perform business process analysis (e.g. workflows) to show interrelationship
of multiple processes and elements.

Requirements

• Must understand a wide range of enterprise solutions (e.g. Portals, EAI, Content
Mgmt, Workflow, Business Process Management, Application Server) as well as
technologies (e.g. J2EE, Web Services, Services Oriented Architecture, BPM)
• Must have deep knowledge and expertise around at least one of the following
areas:
o BEA WebLogic Platform (preferably BEA WebLogic Integration)
o BEA AquaLogic Suite (ALSB, ALBPM)
o TIBCO SOA platform — Portal, Business Process Management,
Integration, ActiveMatrix
o Oracle Fusion Middleware SOA Suite
• Should understand Enterprise Architecture methodologies (e.g. TOGAF, IT
governance) and able to conduct customer workshops (will be an added
advantage)
• Should understand legacy solutions (e.g. IBM Mainframe, CICS)
• Preferably be able to communicate with the c-level and be a good
observer/listener
• Be able to work/ lead a team in identifying, qualifying and closing SOA
opportunities
• Particular industry domain (Consumer Banking or Telco) knowledge will be
advantages
• At least 10+ years in the IT industry
